TERMS & CONDITIONS

 It’s the responsibility of the client on the booking to make themselves familiar with, understand, and accept responsibility for all booking terms and conditions.

MINIMUM BOOKING REQUIREMENTS

1. Jovanka Arpino Hair and Makeup Artistry does not require a minimum booking amount and is happy to be of service.

2. All enquiries are kept open for 7 days from the start of communication, after which dates will be confirmed on a first come first serve basis.

PAYMENTS

1. To secure your wedding/special occasions date a £30 non-refundable booking confirmation fee is required to secure your wedding/special occasion date.

2. A date can not be held and is only confirmed on receipt of the booking fee.

3. On completion of the trial a 50% deposit is payable. 

4. Final and remaining balances are due 2 weeks before the wedding day.

5. By paying your non-refundable booking fee you agree and accept, Jovanka Arpino Hair & Makeup Artistry's business terms and conditions.

6. Payments not made within the agreed time frame, may result in booking cancellation.

TRIALS

1.  A bridal trial is always required unless a prior agreement has taken place and is accepted by Jovanka and the client. 

2. Trial distance exceeding a 40-mile radius (60 minutes drive time one way) will incur a surcharge of £ 20.00/hr; this is to cover the Agreed                  Artist for not being able to work due to time spent travelling.

3. Trials requiring a travel time over 2 hours one way will require suitable overnight accommodation paid for by the client. (The same applies      to travel to the wedding venue.)

4. Trials are offered only once a booking fee of £30 for the wedding day has been made.

5. Trials are held MON-THURS between 10 am and 2 pm at an address agreed upon by Jovanka and the client. 

6. In off-peak season only and dependent on availability (this excludes April - October) trials may be booked for a Sunday and will incur a            £30 surcharge.

7. Should you, or any of your bridal party, decide after your trial that you are not satisfied, you are asked to contact Jovanka via email within        24 hours so that the matter can be resolved. 

8. Repeat appointments will need to be booked at full price. 

9. No refunds will be given on work already completed.

 

TRAVEL COSTS

1. All road travel to the trial and the wedding/special occasions venue is charged at 0.50p/per mile (round trip).

2. Where necessary congestion, toll and parking charges may apply and will be quoted accordingly.

3. Destination weddings/events - Ground travel in the UK and the country of destination is required as well as flights and accommodation for the night before the wedding/event (and after if necessary) will be quoted accordingly.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS / ACCOMMODATION

1. Start time before 7 am, will incur a £50 surcharge.

2. Accommodation is required if the journey time is: 1.5hrs or more one way; the start time is 6 am or earlier; there are other foreseeable delays. 

HAIR ADDITIONS/EXTENSIONS

1. All hairpieces/extensions/additions purchased are payable in full, upfront.

2. All hair additions/extensions are non-refundable except in the case of faulty or incorrect items.

ASSISTANTS 

1. One or more assistants will be required if:

a. more than two (3) hair and makeup services are required. (6 services in total)

b. where available time is too short for Jovanka to complete all services required without assistant/s.

c. where a later start time has been requested.

d. where there are venue time constraints.

2. Should an assistant be required for a trial, travel will be charged as per the standard trial travel costs of £0.50/per mile, as stated above.

3. The cost per assistant is £110.00

IF YOU CANCEL OR CHANGE THE BOOKING

1. Only the bride can make any changes to the booking.

2. A notice of 72 hours minimum is required should you wish to cancel or change any trial bookings and will be charged in full after this time.

3. New trial dates will be charged accordingly and are subject to availability.

4. No refunds will be given on works already completed.

5. In emergencies please contact Jovanka.

6. Should any reduction or additions to your services be required, 2 calendar months notice must be given. Additional services are subject to time allowance.

7. Any reductions made after this time are payable in full and should these reductions result in the less than minimum booking requirements the full cost of minimum bookings will still be charged.

8. Jovanka Arpino Hair & Makeup Artistry will allow for one date change only should unforeseen circumstances cause postponement. After such time a new booking with a new booking fee will be required.

9. Postponements without any further charges must fall within the same year of the original wedding date year and are subject to availability OR up to 1 year later than the original wedding date on a weekday either being a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

10. It will be considered a cancellation should your new wedding date fall in the following year on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday April-October PEAK Season, and therefore all remaining payments will be required as well as a new booking payment for the new date.

COMPLETE CANCELLATION 

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking completely: 

- Cancelling within 3 months of the agreed wedding date = 50% of the remaining balance is still due by the original due date.

- Cancelling 1 month or less prior to the wedding date = 100% of the balance is still due by the original due date.

IF WE CANCEL OR CHANGE THE BOOKING

1. All efforts will be made to find an alternative stylist/artist in the unfortunate event that Jovanka is unable to attend on the day.

2. Monies (excluding money paid for work already carried out) will be fully refunded.

3. Should an assistant be unable to attend an earlier start time will be requested. 

4. Services forfeited will be refunded.

5. Jovanka Arpino Hair & Makeup Artistry reserves the right to cancel a booking following a trial, without a refund of the deposit, in circumstances where the client is uncooperative / makes it difficult to carry out our work or is booked under false pretences i.e. for an event or other purpose.

6. If  Jovanka or an assistant artist is made to feel uncomfortable in any way, or mistreated, or if anyone becomes abusive/violent or displays any offensive behaviour, we have the right to cancel without refund with immediate effect. 

DELAYS

1. Refunds are not given should Jovanka and/or any assistants experience delays out of their control due to clients not following given instructions to carry out efficient work, or if the clients are late / not ready upon the agreed start time.

2. If as a result one or more services are forfeited no compensation will be offered.

3. No compensation will be offered if we overrun due to the above-mentioned circumstances in point 1.

4. Please advise us as soon as possible of any factors that may delay our journey. 

5. Delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party arriving late can not be compensated for or refunded.

INSURANCE

 Jovanka and all of her assistant artists have full public liability insurance.

DISCOUNTS/SPECIAL OFFERS

1. Discounts are not available on peak Fridays and Saturdays between May - September

2. Discounts and special offers are given on a quote-for-quote basis and are not guaranteed.

3. All discounts and special offers are subject to change if the number of services initially booked are reduced or altered and are solely at our discretion.

PRODUCTS/SENSITIVITIES

Please note that it is vitally important that you make Jovanka and all members of her team aware of any allergies or sensitivities you may have, prior to the commencement of any hair and/or makeup service or if any discomfort occurs during a service.

1. Jovanka Hair & Makeup Artistry or any member of the team cannot be held liable for sensitivities, allergies or skin/medical conditions that may affect the use of their products.

2. Using your own products does not warrant a discount from Jovanka Hair & Makeup Artistry.

3. Should you wish to use your own products, we cannot be held liable for the performance and longevity thereof.

TIMINGS AND EFFICIENCY

1. To carry out the services efficiently there must be a good light source; flat surface/table; plug points and chair available. Should the aforementioned not be provided for and result in delays, Jovanka and/or any team member cannot be held responsible.

2. 15 minutes set-up time is allocated before the booked services commencing.

Portfolio and social media updates are important to us, so please make us aware if you do not want to be photographed or if you aren’t happy for us to use your images for marketing purposes.
